Italy 2004 - Timelapses

Timelapse is a great thing to do while traveling. To get anything worth showing, you have to sit still (in a beautiful place) for at least an hour. Which is exactly what people forget to do on vacation. Also, just doing something creative in public tends to lead to conversations with the most interesting strangers.

6370 KB movie. The Piazza Del Popolo in Rome at sunset. The Olympic torch ran through this timelapse (a total surprise to us), and you can't really see it except as a brief gathering of a crowd in the upper left. My favorite part is the light change at the end.
1954 KB movie. A sunset in Tuscany, as seen from an olive orchard.
4836 KB movie. A valley near Sarnese in Tuscany. We left my laptop and camera in a bush on the side of a deserted country road for 2 hours while we had lunch.
10364 KB movie. Venice. We sat on the bus pier for 4 hours eating homemade prosciutto, ricotta and tomato burritos watching tourists pay 90 euros each for a gondola ride around the block. The video starts by playing backwards so it looks like we were there all day.
